Between the beginning and the end, we deal with it. So, here it is, the sophomore CD project of David J Ashley. You may find these tunes have a stronger persistence than the David on Earth CD. Still with a hint of Bowie, a little blues this time - his style is independent, uniquely centered and relevant.Really the best way to explain it is to just listen to it. It's honest music about coming clean and being real. This CD has some playful moments that dance around the anticipation of our next big step. There are also some tunes that carry the same emotional impact similar to the debut CD.
David isn't competing with the popular, and he's definitely not chasing the same 'ol manufactured rock-star dream. He's just real, and less concerned about the critique. As long as he's still able to touch that hard-to-get-to place we all have, he'll keep doing this.
